About
Children’s Network of Hillsborough County (CNHC) is the lead agency for child welfare in Hillsborough County. In partnership with the Florida Department of Children and Families, CNHC oversees foster care, adoptions, and therapeutic group homes, and the entire system of care. Working with over 70 community partners, we’re dedicated to protecting children, preserving families, and helping every child flourish in a safe, loving home.

CNHC officially began operations on July 1, 2022 as the lead community-based care agency for Florida’s 13th Judicial Circuit (Hillsborough County), overseeing foster care, adoption, case management, and abuse prevention. CNHC has achieved significant early outcomes: fewer children removed from homes, thousands receiving prevention services, and many hundreds of families reunified or children adopted.
