Samuel Gonzalez Navarro is a dynamic entrepreneur, inventor, and creative professional whose work spans engineering, event production, music, and community engagement. He is the founder and owner of SGN Innovations, IB Shields, and Rhythms—ventures that reflect his dedication to innovation, safety, and cultural connection.

Sam comes from a family deeply rooted in service, a legacy he continues through both his professional work and community involvement. With over 29 years of experience in engineering, he currently serves as a Senior Utility Coordinator, managing and coordinating large-scale construction projects. He holds certifications in Mechanical Engineering and CAD Design from Porter & Chester Institute, as well as in Theology from the New England Spanish Eastern Bible Institute.

Sam’s leadership journey also includes years of service in his local church and religious organization, where he has held roles such as Youth Leader, Youth Pastor, District Youth Event Coordinator, and District Youth Director. His experience managing events and entertainment venues in these roles laid the groundwork for his ventures in event technology and live production.

As an inventor, Sam designed a modular ballistic shield system aimed at protecting students and educators during firearm-related incidents. His invention offers a rapid-deployment solution for personal or group protection in schools and other public spaces. While initially developed for educational institutions, the shield system is also applicable to offices, airports, malls, worship centers, theaters, and other high-occupancy venues, providing a vital layer of protection in emergency situations.

As an event technology developer, Sam also designed and developed a comprehensive ticketing platform that enables users to not only manage ticket sales but also create custom event layouts. This includes designing floor plans and seating charts with the ability to assign pricing to individual seats or tables—offering flexible solutions for a wide variety of event formats.

A passionate musician and percussionist, Sam has performed in bands and orchestras throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. His musical journey naturally led him to the dance community, where he has trained at various schools, performed at salsa congresses and private events, and continues to be an active social dancer.

As a promoter, Sam channeled his passion for music and dance into the creation of Rhythms Social, a mobile app designed to connect dancers, DJs, event promoters, venue owners, and music lovers. Available on iOS and Android, Rhythms Social offers a centralized platform for discovering dance events, locating studios, sharing content, and engaging with a global community of dancers.

Sam’s rare combination of technical expertise, artistic expression, and entrepreneurial drive allows him to merge diverse disciplines into innovative solutions. His work is a reflection of his core mission: to build tools and experiences that bring people together, promote safety, and inspire creativity in communities around the world.
